In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.

Askum

Askum (DOB 2006) is a buff and with white markings cocker boy. Askum was born deaf and he is starting to lose his eyesight. His owner had to give him up because her bigger dog, which is a puppy, was beating him up and the owner felt that he was too old for this rough treatment. He is a wiggle butt and loves to give kisses. He rolls over when you pet him and loves attention. He loves to sleep in bed on the pillow next to you. He loves car rides. Bandit

This dog has been adopted! Ladies, and Gentlemen, meet Bandit! (DOB May 2009). Bandit was picked up by Animal Control as a stray. A family with two Boxers adopted him and had him for a couple of months. Bandit was fine at first but recently was hiding under the bed and behind curtains. His adoptive family concluded that he was not very happy and asked FCSR to find him a home where he doesn’t feel the need to hide. At FCSR, he has been very quiet, but has not tried to hide. He gets along with all the other dogs and ignores cats. He would do very well in a quiet home. If you are interested in Bandit, please fill out an application at floridacocker.org or call 813-245-1833 for more information.

Baxley

Hey everyone, I’m Baxley (DOB 2011) and I love toys! Here’s my story: Animal Control Services captured me. They found me on the road dragging a chain behind me that was embedded in my ear. I don't know why people tie us dogs up at all - and certainly not by the ears! It was so sad. My life was rough, y'all. But guys, let me just tell you that after a few weeks in the shelter I had a great prison-break moment when a local rescue paid for me to get out and go to the vet. FCSR agreed to take me in. It was like magic! I get along very well with other dogs. I’m totally ready for my furever home! Oh, and did I mention that I love toys?!? Please complete your application at www.floridacocker.org. For more details, call 813-245-1833 or contact info@floridacocker.org.

If you are interested in Biscotti, please fill out an application at floridacocker.org or call 813-245-1833 for more information.

Black Merle

Hey FCSR friends, my name is Black Merle, I’m a male cocker spaniel and my DOB 2/10/14. I am searching for my furever home so let me tell you about myself. I love people & attention. I like other dogs but I don't like to share my food or toys with other dogs. I do have calcified ears; don’t worry it is common for a cocker spaniel to have calcified ears. Another cocker spaniel trait that I have is a little dry eye (just need some Puralube in my eyes, it only $6-7 a tube) besides that I am healthy. How about it? Could I be the boy you are searching for? Please complete your application at www.floridacocker.org. For more details, call 813-245-1833 or contact info@floridacocker.org.

Buddy B

Buddy B (DOB 2006) is a black and white cocker boy. His mom lost her place and was unable to take her dog with her to a tiny no-pets-allowed apartment. After contacting several rescues, all of which were full, she was looking at putting him down instead. Thankfully, she found FCSR! Buddy had been with his owner since he was 9 weeks old and is now blind from cataracts. He is a gentle, loving, and adorable pal. He sometimes responds to basic commands like, "Sit" and "Lay down." He is a gentle boy with a sweet temperament. He is good around older children and other dogs and has never had a biting or other behavioral flare-up or issue. He's a friendly dog, not as outgoing since becoming blind, but would thrive with another dog and lots of patience, love and attention. Please complete your application at www.floridacocker.org.
