In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.
Forever Fosters
Florida Cocker Spaniel Rescue takes in many senior, disabled or dogs with continuing medical needs that deserve to have a stable loving home for the rest of their lives. These dogs are generally considered unadoptable due to their age, behavior, disabilities or medical needs. Many of these dogs fall in the category of Hospice care. A Forever Foster Home will take the foster dog into their home and will provide them with the loving, caring home they deserve for the rest of their lives. They could have these fosters for just days or weeks but many will be there for months or years. FCSR supports these dogs financially for the rest of their lives. Please consider Sponsoring one of these deserving pups or perhaps fostering through this program.

Candy is chocolate and her DOB is 2007. Candy is blind and she can be a little skittish if startled but friendly and sweet. Candy went to a foster home and has adjusted very well. So we decided to have her join our Forever Foster Program.

Mr. Biscuit

Mr. Biscuit came to FCSR with some behavior issues. He is a 5 yr old Maltese Mix. Over the time he was in his foster home it became evident that he was secure there and it would not be appropriate for him to be placed for adoption. We always feel lucky when we can help dogs other then cocker spaniels have a great life.

Hi my name is Stevie, my foster mom said I had some homework to do, so here goes. I am a young (DOB 3/2016), spaniel/retriever mix boy with a gorgeous hair coat. I will be bigger than my cocker foster siblings, I'm already 35 lbs. My foster mom said I'm as dark as midnight but she is rethinking that because in the sun I have mahogany tips. I am slowly making friends, one at a time because I get overwhelmed but mom said not to worry because I'm still a baby. I really like having a bed of my own because I like to collect all the toys. I am house trained and my foster mom keeps telling me that I am a really good boy. I was on Facebook looking at all the other fosters and I think somewhere along the way my family tree must have crossed Drakes because he has the same cool hair style. I would love to find a family that will be patient with me, I am pretty good on a leash but occasionally puppy brain kicks in and I become all goofy. Mom said I will be ready for my forever family to find me after I get fixed. I'm not broken but I'll find out what she means. So if you would like to be my forever family please send your application to Auntie Carol.

Hi my name is Russell. I am 6 years old and born in 2010. I am a happy boy and I love to run around. I think I would like a house that does not have young children in it. They are OK but I would be happier without them. If you have a fenced yard that would be even better. If you think you would be the prefect forever home for me please let me know. You can apply to be my new family at

was scared and very timid while in the shelter. He is doing great since joining

just to be loved. He loves to go for car rides and walks.

Sparkie-DOB Sept 2014 Chocolate and white parti colored cocker boy. Sparkie was
abused badly as a puppy. He was extremely fearful of people when he came in to
rescue. We have shown him a lot of love and tried to make him feel safe. He has
become very loving and playful. He has always loved the other dogs. Because of his
background he would be best in an adult home. To see more of Sparkie please visit

Blondie (now Skittles) DOB 2007 red and white cocker girl with a full tail. Life has
been rough for Blondie. She was extremely matted and had to be knocked out to get
trimmed. She is blind in both eyes, but does get around very well. She is extremely
friendly and just wants to be loved. She is good with other dogs. She was very thin
when she came to FCSR and only weighed about 12 lbs, but her foster mom helped with
that and she is looking good now. To see more pictures of Skittles, copy and paste

Lady DOB 2008 buff cocker girl. Lady's parents could no longer afford to take care
of her ears, therefore they turned her over to FCSR. Her ears are extremely bad and
after a couple months of medicine she will need to have ear ablation surgery in both
ears. Once that is complete Lady will be deaf, but no more ear issues. Lady is
currently looking for foster home in the Tampa area until her ear surgery is
complete, then she will be available for adoption.

Daniel ~ DOB 4/22/2009 chocolate cocker boy with silver tips. His family lost their
home and he went to live with a really nice man, but then the man got sick and
couldn't take care of him anymore, so he ended up in the shelter. He is very mellow
and easy going. He has wonderfully soft silver tipped brown fur that you just want
to snuggle into! He is a joyful little man, sweet as can be, very loving, and likes
to be near you. He seems to be just happy that someone is calling him and comes at
the sound of your voice. He is great in the car and is very happy to be in the midst
of other wiggle buts! He is like "cool, they're just like me!!!" I'm not sure he
even noticed the cat, but I would say he is good with everyone. To see more

a quiet home and someone to hang out with for the rest of his life. He is very
healthy and does not look or act his age.

Honey ~ DOB 2008 buff and white cocker girl. Honey is VERY timid and is looking for
a patient owner and a quiet. If loose she will bolt until she gets to know you
really well. She is friendly and good with other dogs, just very skittish. She is
looking for a stay at home mom with a secure fenced in yard. She has escaped from 2
different foster homes so now only lives with the 1 person that she trusts.

Lucie DOB 2012 buff cocker girl. She is very friendly and loves attention. Loves to
run, chase squirrels, and hunt. Lucie was surrendered because she kept running away.

home that has a very securely fenced yard with someone to give her time and
attention. She is great with all people, other dogs and cats too. To see more

parents had to give him up because they were going through a divorce and were moving
to a place where no dogs are allowed. He is full of energy, smart, and loves
everyone. He is from a military family and has been around the world. He is
alittle afraid of thunder, but a thunder shirt works well. He does suffer a slight
separation anxiety and will howl for a short period of time when left alone, but
does not destroy anything. He loves to ride in a car. He LOVES racquet balls as
well as tennis balls but he will get that fuzz off eventually :)
